Dungeon Master
Synopsis
Dungeon Master is my final capstone project that I am worked on with a friend. It is a 2 player game, with one player using a controller and the other using VR with an HTC Vive. The person with the controller plays the game similar to a Zelda game. They traverse a dungeon, with various enemies, puzzles and platforming challenges to conquer. The VR player is the titular dungeon master. They can control the spawn of enemies, affect the dungeon such as messing with switches, and fight the other player 1 on 1.
I have been developing the non-VR portions of the game. The player plays from a third person perspective, and is able to perform various moves, such as swinging their sword, shooting a crossbow, jumping or crouching. They must use all their available moves to traverse through the dungeons, such as solving a tricky number and path puzzle, jumping between moving platforms, or fighting enemies spawned by the VR player. They also have access to various potions that have temporary boosts, such as increased defense. They can also pick up gold that can be used to buy more potions, or find extra arrows and health vials to heal themselves with.
